Copyright & Takedown Procedure
NexaTools respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid copyright takedown notices in accordance with applicable law, including the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
1. Rights in user content
You retain ownership of content you create or process through NexaTools. You are responsible for ensuring you have the lawful right to process or share any material you submit. Using a browser-local utility does not transfer ownership or grant NexaTools a general license to your files.
2. Submitting a copyright takedown notice
If you believe material made accessible through a NexaTools service (such as a shortened URL or a hosted share link) infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@nexatools.in with the subject line “Copyright Takedown Notice” and include:
- Your full name, physical or electronic signature, and contact details (email address and telephone number or mailing address).
- Clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact NexaTools short link, share URL, or identifier so we can locate the specific record.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury (where required by applicable statute), that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
3. Review and technical scope
Upon receiving a complete notice, we will review the report and, where applicable, disable or remove access to the identified short link or hosted ciphertext record. Please note the technical boundaries of our platform:
- Encrypted shares (NexaShare): Files are encrypted in the uploader's browser prior to upload, and the decryption key resides in the URL fragment (
#key=). NexaTools cannot inspect encrypted file contents without the full link, but we can disable or delete a hosted share record identified by its share URL or ID. - Browser-local tools: Files processed strictly inside a user's browser (such as PDF editors, media converters, or formatters) are never stored on NexaTools servers and cannot be accessed or removed by us.
4. Counter-notice procedure
If access to a link or record you created was disabled in response to a copyright notice and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to support@nexatools.in. Include your contact information, identification of the removed material and its prior URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was disabled in error, your consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts as required by applicable law, and your physical or electronic signature.
5. Repeat infringers and misrepresentation
We reserve the right to block or terminate access for users who repeatedly submit infringing links or files, as well as for parties who knowingly submit false or bad-faith takedown notices.
6. Contact
Direct all copyright notices, counter-notices, and intellectual property inquiries to support@nexatools.in.
